Is Ortama a dating app?

No. Ortama is a platform for hobbies and conversation. There is no unsolicited messaging; communication only happens in table context.

Does it cost anything?

Completely free for individuals. Business accounts are also free in v1.

Why is a photo mandatory?

We want to make sure real people sit at the table. Your photo is only visible in the context of tables and applications and is never listed publicly.

What happens to my data?

We aim for full GDPR compliance: download your data as one JSON file and delete your account yourself. Chats are automatically deleted 30 days after the event, and location history is never kept.

Which cities does it work in?

We're starting in Istanbul and Berlin; the architecture is city-agnostic, and new cities will follow quickly.

Is there an age limit?

Yes, Ortama is for people aged 18 and over.
